Answered Prayers!!





If you know someone who doesn't believe in God, ask them to talk to a Farmer. A Farmer not only has to work hard all year long but they have to possess a very strong Faith. When planting season rolls around (if there's moisture) they have Faith that the seed they plant will sprout through the soil. During the growing season as they purchase expensive fertilizers, manage weed control, etc. they crutch on that Faith again to send the needed rain to aid the growth of the crop. Then again when harvest season comes they have Faith that their machinery will withstand the load and again that they get good weather. They do all this with Faith in hopes to do all this again next year.


Emerson squealed with joy this morning when we walked outside and it was raining.....he said "Momma, our cotton is getting rain like we prayed for!" We haven't seen a good rain on the entire farm in over 30 days. With temperatures in the high nineties and the heat index well over one hundred, the crops are dancing in the rain today. Close to two inches and still a steady rain!


One of my favorite bible scriptures ~ I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Thankful for the strength he provides Doug and all Farmers to continue to have a strong Faith in him!

It's almost . . . HARVEST TIME! For the Wheat Crop   Luke Bryan can sing it far better than I can say it! I am getting a little ahead of myself with the harvest time song though.  They just completed peanut planting and have started with cotton.  If it is the Lord's will, I'll get to show you pictures when those are ready for harvest too! While we're on the farm subject our middle farmer, Lockwood , will graduate Kindergarten next week.  He is very excited that he gets to be "Old McDonald" and ride on the school tractor in their play.

Welcome to the family, Camden!

The newest addition to our family has four legs, sharp teeth, floppy ears, and slobbery kisses! Yep, you guessed it  . . . we have a new puppy! Meet Camden Walker Jarrell - born December 6, 2013. He has each member of our family wrapped up tight including both sets of Grandparents. Here he is upon arrival at the Jarrell House. He made himself at home and sleeps snuggled up with Sissy every night. He even has Stella on his side! He is now almost 5 months old and weighs almost 20 lbs. He likes to chew things such as shoes, books, money, etc.... You know, anything he gets to quicker than we can! On a positive note he is house trained with only a few minor accidents, he sits when told, and he LOVES the water so we are all eager for boating season. Just look at that sweet face!

Wedding Bliss

  So grateful these two families allowed me to capture their special day.        My cousin Nicole wowed with her simple but oh so elegant dress. Such a beautiful day!   Jacqueline, Brandon, and I attended school together so photographing their wedding was such an honor.  They were married in a charming white chapel where the ceremony was so beautiful there was not a dry eye in attendance.    May your days be filled with love for years to come! xoxo
